Forwarding Messages via Email

If you have subscribed to Voicemail to Text transcription, you can forward a transcription of a received voice mail as an email.

Before You Begin

Before you can compose an email message in Sprint Visual Voicemail, you must configure your phone to access at least one of your email accounts. If you have not yet done so, this can be accomplished in your email Inbox.

(Press and tap to open your email Inbox.)

Forwarding an Email

Follow these steps to forward an email.

1. While in the Message Playback screen, press and then tap (Forward). You will be presented with a list of message forward types.

Note: This list and its forward via email option will appear only if the message being forwarded was transcribed by the Voicemail-to-Text service. It will not be available otherwise.

2. Select Via email. The Sprint Visual Voicemail application will ask you whether you want to send the email via Bluetooth, via Gmail or via another type of email account.
3. Select the type of account you wish to use. The email composition screen appears. The text of your transcribed message will be pre-populated in the body of the message.
4. If you want to make any changes to the transcription prior to sending, tap the transcribed text and use the on-screen keyboard to make any desired changes.
5. If you want to add a subject line to the email, tap the Subject box and use the on-screen keyboard to enter the subject.
6. To specify the recipient of the text message, do one of the following:

●   Tap the To field and then use the on-screen keyboard to enter the phone number of the mobile phone to which you wish to send the text message.

●  Tap to select a contact from your contact book.

Note: You can also cc (copy) or bcc (blind copy) recipients. Press and select (Show Cc/Bcc). This adds Cc and Bcc boxes below the To box.
