If Visual Voicemail is not functioning properly on your device, consider the following options:
Make sure there are no third party applications that are conflicting with Visual Voicemail. Go SMS and Handcent are two applications that cause issues.
● If Go SMS is installed, you will need to disable the Disable other text notifications option.
● If Handcent is installed, you will need to navigate that application's menu as follows: Settings > Application Settings > Default Messaging Applications and select Disable.
Once you have confirmed that there are no third party applications conflicting with Visual Voicemail, follow these steps:
1. Using your device keypad, press *38 and then Talk to cancel any call forwarding.
2. Shut down your device, remove and replace the battery, then turn the device back on.
3. Update your profile by navigating the menu as follows: Settings > System Updates > Update profile.
4. Confirm that Visual Voicemail is working properly.
If the recommended steps above do not resolve your issue, dial *2 (for Sprint) or dial 611 (for prepaid customers) to talk to a Customer Care Representative.
