Avatar Settings

Follow these steps to change the Avatar settings.

1.   Open Voicemail settings. (In the Visual Voicemail Inbox, select the overflow menu and then tap Settings .)

2.   Tap Avatar. The Avatar settings screen will be displayed.

3.   Make any desired changes to the Avatar settings listed. (See below for individual setting descriptions.)

Disable Avatar

You will see this setting if Avatars are enabled. Tap Disable Avatar to turn off the feature. Tap Yes to confirm your selection.

When you turn off avatars, you will no longer be able to compose messages with avatar characters or view the content Store. You can still listen to avatar messages that you have received.

Enable Avatar

You will see this setting if Avatars are disabled. Tap Enable Avatar to turn on the feature. Tap Yes to confirm your selection.

When you turn on avatars, you will also be able to view the content Store.

Avatar Facebook Ad Signature

When you share a message on Facebook, your post includes a link to download the AniMates application, which is Smith Micro's avatar messaging application.

If you prefer not to include this link in your post, simply clear the check box for this setting.

SMS Delivery

When you send an Avatar message to a person who does not have Visual Voicemail with Avatars or the AniMates client installed, the message will be sent as an SMS message. Standard text message rates apply, so if you have a limited SMS message plan, you may incur additional data charges. To avoid additional charges, you can disable the use of SMS to send messages.

Tap SMS Delivery and then select one of the options:

●  Always allow — allow the application to send SMS messages

●  Always ask — the application will ask you for permission before sending the SMS message to a recipient who does not have Avatars

●  Never allow — do not allow the application to send SMS messages to a recipient who does not have Avatars
