Adding a Message Sender to Your Contacts

On Android devices, your contact book (also called a "phone book") is the list that can be found by tapping the Contacts or People icon on the Home screen. You can add people who have sent you voicemail messages to this list.

To add a message sender to your contacts (from Contact book)

1. From the Home screen on your phone, open the Contact book.
2. Tap the image icon for adding a contact.
3. Add a new contact name.
4. Enter the sender's phone number.
5. Optional: Enter additional information about this person in the contact form.
6. Tap Save or Done to save the contact information.
7. Launch Visual Voicemail.

The sender's name will appear in the received message.

To add a message sender to your contacts (from Message Playback screen)

1. From the Visual Voicemail Inbox, Archive, Custom, or Blocked folder, tap the message from a sender you want to add to your Contacts list. The message opens in the Message Playback screen.
2. Tap the Add Contact icon .

Note: The Add Contact icon only appears if the sender's phone number is not yet in your Contacts list.

3. Select Add new contact (or Add to existing contact if you want to update a contact's information).
4. Add a new contact name (or select an existing contact).
5. Enter the sender's phone number.
6. Optional: Enter additional information about this person in the contact form.
7. Tap Save to save the contact information.
