Now you can send fun, audio messages with avatar characters to your friends. Just a few of the many ways to use avatars include to: celebrate a birthday, tell a joke, make an announcement, send a greeting to a special friend. Get started and decide how you'll use avatars.
Sending an avatar message is simple. You record your message, select an avatar and background to animate the message, and send the message. If your friends have Visual Voicemail, they will receive the message in their Inbox. If they don't have Visual Voicemail, they'll receive a link to the message that they can view in a browser.
Enhance your experience by purchasing additional avatars and backgrounds. If you subscribe to Premium service, you also get the ability to use images from your photo gallery as backgrounds, and get extended message time, allowing you to record messages of up to two minutes long.
1. In the Inbox, or
and then tap
in the message compose screen.
2. Select an avatar. Tap the avatar or tap to display the selection screen. Swipe to view the available avatars. Select an avatar by tapping it and then tap Done.
Note: You can purchase an avatar that has a sales tag attached to it. Tap the avatar and then tap Buy.
3. Select a background. Tap the background or tap to display the selection screen. Swipe to view the available backgrounds. Select a background by tapping it and then tap Done.
Note: You can purchase a background that has a sales tag attached to it. Additionally, when you subscribe to Premium service, you get the ability to select an image from your photo gallery to use as a custom background.
4. Record your message. Tap Record , speak into your phone and then tap Stop
to stop the recording.
Note: Avatar messages have voice effects that change the pitch of the recorded message. To turn off or shift the pitch, tap and then drag the slider to adjust the voice. Set it to Off to use the normal recorded voice.
5. Deliver the message. In the To: field, select a contact, or enter a phone number or valid email address.
The message will be sent to the recipient's Visual Voicemail inbox, or as a link in a text message or email message (if the recipient does not have Visual Voicemail).
